Over 11 teams participated and nearly 35 sponsors supported this years outing at Morning Star Golf Course. We are thrilled to have such a overflowing amount of support from our community for the upcoming season.

This past weekend Warren hosted South Dakota State’s head coach Chris Bono and assistant coach Jon Reader. The camp was attended by over 130 Indiana wrestlers and 20 coaches who were excited to learn from two of the best!
Any WCHS student interested in joining the 2017-2018 wrestling team should plan to attend the call out meet at 3pm on Tuesday 8/22 in the Freshman (west) cafeteria. Additional information on preseason, schedule and requirements will be discussed and handed out. No experience necessary.

CHRIS “LIGHTS OUT” LYTLE JOINS OVER 600 WRESTLERS
TO SHINE THE LIGHT ON AUTISM
Wrestling Event will also feature an Autism Awareness Resource Fair
(Indianapolis April 13, 2017) In recognition of Autism Awareness Month the Warren Central Wrestling Team will hold a special Greco/Freestyle Wrestling Match this Friday and Saturday, April 14-15. Over 600 wrestlers from pre-K through 12 will be participating in the two day event at the Fieldhouse on the campus of Warren Central High School.
One of the highlights of the event is the Autism Awareness Resource Fair where fifteen community groups and organizations will be on hand to answer questions and to connect people with autism-related services.
Chris “Lights Out” Lytle, former MMA fighter and current MMA fighter Andrew Holbrook will be on hand Saturday signing autographs. Lytle will also be talking about his Rise Up Against Bullying Foundation.
All activities are open to the public. Entrance to the wrestling activities is $5 for an individual and $10 for an entire family. Admission to the Resource Fair is free, but donations will be accepted. All donations and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Autism Society of Indiana.
Media are invited to cover the event on both Friday evening and Saturday. Friday’s activities are from 6:00pm-9:00pm. On Saturday the event runs from 9:00am until 3:00pm.

UPDATE: Warren will be attending the Indiana Pride Freestyle-Greco Clinic & Tournament this Saturday (4/1) in place of Mooresville Folkstyle Tournament. Freestyle State requires wrestlers participate in 2 qualifying Freestyle tournaments. This tournament will count as 1 qualifying event. Warren coaches will be on-site. Wrestlers will participate in a rules clinic, Freestyle and Greco tournament all for one price!
